What’s new at Bar Pro Academy?       Welcome to the first issue of the Bar Pro Academy News Letter.       This will become a monthly way to let our alumni and people in the hospitality industry know what’s going on with our training and events. We have a lot of new and exciting news to let you all in on from Drop In Sessions to new content and extra courses offered above and beyond the A-Zs. _____________________________________________       Starting October 14th, we have partnered with The Orange Monkey Bar & Billiards at 250 city center road in Ottawa to bring an exciting event. Sunday nights are student competition nights; our former students show their stuff behind the bar for cash and prizes including a $500 cash grand prize. We’re giving away courses, seminars and all the equipment you need to become a Bar Pro. How do you win it? Come by and find out. ______________________________________________       Some new additions to the course include our newly designed Speed Bartending course. As one of our supplementals, it will be available by itself or as part of our complete package. In this class we provide the knowledge and hands on experience to become the fastest service or wood bartender behind your bar and we all know what that means… more drinks sold + faster service = more money in your pocket.       Another new addition is the Advanced Flair 1 and 2. These will be offered to students who have already taken the Flair portion of the A-Z program as well as anyone working in the industry with minimal flair knowledge. In the Advanced Flair 1 we look at higher impact moves while keeping it safe enough to use by all skill levels behind the bar.       Advanced Flair 2 is where we get into what you need to know to compete and really wow your guests. We walk you though how to prepare, what typical rules look like and how to learn new moves on your own.
